This project was from BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) for providing the FTTH connectivity to Home and commercial users for speed up to 100 Mbps using GEPON (Gigabit Ethernet Passive Optical Network) technology through Optical Fibre Cable. This was India’s first FTTH Project implemented in BSNL network to provide high speed broadband connectivity. This project was implemented during year 2010-11. Major highlights of the project are as follows:
⦁ Supply, Installation, Commissioning and maintenance of OLT (Optical Line Terminal), ONU (Optical Network Unit), Switches, EMS Hardware/Software, Computers/laptops for OLT Configurations along with associate accessories.
⦁ Total Nos. of OLTs were 118 and ONUs 75,000 supplied and installed all over India and value of the project was Rs. 112.33 Crore.
⦁ EMS Server was the key aspect of this project, which required regress monitoring of the OLTs and ONUs. We setup EMS Main server at Noida and its DR (Disaster recovery) site at Chandigarh. Both EMS hardware and software were under 1+1 configuration having hot standby connectivity at both the sites. Both places were backed up by 4 Nos. large capacity UPS. Both EMS sites were maintained by us for a long 8 years.
